Did you know that the alumni association isn't only for alumni? It's for people with a love for IU, IU East, and the community that makes us family.

Vision: To serve IU, its alumni and friends, and our communities.

Mission: To provide Indiana University Alumni opportunities to meaningfully connect with their alma mater that help to elevate Indiana University, Indiana University East and the East Region.

Purpose:

  1. To build alumni networks in an effort to represent all university alumni residing in the East Region
  2. To connect alumni networks to increase the number of students attending Indiana University campuses
  3. To leverage alumni networks to generate resources (time, talent, treasure) for Indiana University
  4. To engage alumni networks to elevate the image and position of Indiana University in the East Region
  5. To utilize alumni networks to continuously improve the student experience

Who are we?

IU East has over 10,000 living alumni. Most reside within our 25-county service area in Indiana and Ohio. We boast alumni in almost every state and several countries abroad. Our alumni are teachers, business persons, nurses, public servants, doctors, lawyers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Every May, we proudly welcome our new members into the association with confidence that they will carry on our IU East tradition of excellence. We encourage all of our alumni, new and not so new, to remember their experiences at East by attending alumni and campus events, volunteering to serve, and taking part in alumni programs.
