IU 2030
In September 2022, Indiana University President Pamela Whitten united the university with a framework to be used by each campus for the development of strategic plans that will address how we will meet and exceed the needs and challenges of a rapidly changing world.
The IU 2030 framework addresses three interconnected spheres – student success, research, and service to our state and beyond – that are critical to the success of Indiana University as we look to the future.
IU East is using the framework to develop a seven-year strategic plan that will guide our work on increasing the impact we have on the students and the communities in the region we serve.
The IU East 2030 planning process is being led by an Executive Steering Committee with broad representation from faculty, staff, and students. Three planning committees, each with co-chairs representing faculty and staff, are working to adapt the framework goals and metrics for each area of focus to the campus. Feedback from all faculty, staff, students and other key constituents is being solicited in meetings and online.
