Stalking is an intentional course of conduct involving repeated or continuing harassment of another individual that would cause a reasonable person to feel terrorized, frightened, intimidated, or threatened and that actually causes the victim to feel terrorized, frightened, intimidated, or threatened. The term does not include statutorily or constitutionally protected activity.

If you feel you're being stalked, here is what you should do:
- Report the incident. If it is an emergency, call 911.
- Write down everything that is happening, including the date, time, location, and a detailed description of what happened. Also keep any voicemails, text/email messages, screenshots, or items sent to you.
- Tell someone – friends, family members, roommates – about the problem and the importance of keeping your information private. They can also provide support and look out for you.
- Avoid being alone – walk with a friend and try to tell someone where you are going and when they can expect you to return.
- Remember, stalking is a crime and the stalker’s behavior is not your fault!
