Student progress is reviewed on a regular basis throughout the program. University and Education Advising Plans outline specific minimum performance requirements. The following items are also included as specific guidelines:

1. Maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better.
2. Demonstrate satisfactory progress in the area of professional knowledge and competence by:
   1. Achieving a 3.0 GPA in methods courses (see advising sheet) with no grade lower than a C+.
   2. Successfully completing all lab/field experiences and practicums.
3. Maintain standards of appropriate social, ethical, and academic conduct as described in the APP process.

Candidates failing to meet one or more of these three standards are dismissed from the Teacher Education Program. Candidates who have been dismissed from the program can request probationary status.
