What to do when money gets tight

If your financial troubles have you worried about your ability to complete your program or even your semester, reach out to the Dean of Students. She is your primary advocate, and will help you figure out what's possible in this tough time.

If you're having trouble paying your bill, you'll want to:

• understand payment options including payment plans
• learn about late payments and past due accounts
• determine if you can appeal or dispute fees

If you've had to drop a class or withdraw from all your classes after the refund period due to significant or unusual circumstances, you can submit an appeal for your tuition and fees to be reduced or removed.

If you need additional money (especially to help you stay in school):

• find out if you qualify for a work-study job
• see if there are paid internships available
• watch for part-time jobs on campus or in the community
• apply for scholarships
• consider other financial aid options and get in touch with the Office of Financial Aid for guidance
