Present, publish & promote

Share the accomplishments resulting from your research

Your research and creative works deserve to be shared with colleagues, students, the IU community, and the public. Depending on your audience, there are several avenues for sharing your work; here are opportunities provided by IU East and IU:

Present your work

Faculty Scholarship Celebration

The Faculty Scholarship Celebration features IU East faculty who have engaged in research, teaching and learning scholarship, or creative activity over the past year. All faculty are welcome to present, and those who have received sabbaticals, Summer Faculty Fellowships, a Faculty Research Support Fund grant or other forms of support are invited to present to fulfill their presentation requirement.

Questions about this event can be directed to the Office of Academic Affairs.

Additional Presentation Opportunities

If you plan to present at conferences, in the community, or elsewhere, please let us know about it! The Communications & Marketing team may be able help share information about your presentation to help encourage attendance, raise awareness, or provide you with supporting materials to help represent IU East.

Share and archive online

One of the greatest favors you can do for yourself, in a world where technology is ever-changing, is to find an online institutional repository that preserves your work for the future and provides you with a permanent URL to access your work. At IU, that system is IUScholarWorks.

You can submit your work to IU ScholarWorks by:

  • contacting the IU East coordinator, Sue McFadden (smcfadde@iue.edu), who will work with you to ensure your work is categorized appropriately, named and tagged effectively, and uploaded;
  • by directly submitting your work to IU ScholarWorks via their website; if you choose this option, be sure to indicate that your work should be included in the IUSW-East collection.
